Swimming with the Exuma Pigs!

Writer's picture: Mary-Ashley McDanielMary-Ashley McDaniel

This is a very unique experience, and we would recommend doing it at least once! The pigs are somewhat aggressive and excited for food, so they are scary at first. It’s important to remember to put your hands up, and as soon as they see you don’t have anything, they will move on.

We took an all day speed boat tour that included 5 other stops. We went to Iguana Island, Pig Island, secluded island for lunch, Compass Cay to swim with the nurse sharks, drove by Pablo Escobar’s sunken plane, and hung out at a sand bar.

The only down side is it’s a long ride, but it’s easily worth it for the amazing views, great crew, good music, and unforgettable experience!

Lunch, drinks (non-alcoholic & alcoholic), and hotel pick up and drop off were included.
